Our History

Constructed in 1947, designed by Albert Anis, the Westover Arms was hailed at the time as “something novel in the line of apartment projects – a five story elevator building”, earlier buildings from the depression era in Miami Beach were typically walk-ups limited to two or three stories. The Westover Arms heralded a new trend that catered to the rapidly increasing year-round population of the city after World War II as a result of the economic boom and the development of air conditioning technology. The building originally offered 26 rentals apartments. Today it offers apartment style hotel accommodations as an all studio and suite property.
